Police are searching for the three suspects who stole the hard-earned tips from a Royal Oak restaurant.

It happened about an hour before closing on Monday night at Bangkok Cuisine off Woodward.

The suspects are described as two men and a woman between the ages of 20-30, according to Royal Oak Police.

the incident was all caught on surveillance video. The video clearly shows one of the three suspects reach into the tip jar on the counter and pocket the cash.

Nor Lee, a cook at Bangkok Cuisine said the suspects probably stole about $40 - about a night’s worth of tips.

He said he and the other employees are not holding a grudge.

"Maybe they needed it more than we did, so we didn't really think anything of it,” said Lee. "Stuff happens you know, but it just like, sucks when it happens to you.”

Lee hopes other restaurants and businesses in Royal Oak take heed and be on the lookout.
