74-year-old woman killed in deadly Labor Day accident in Southfield

Police are investigating a fatal accident that took the life of a 74-year-old woman.

It happened at around 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Lahser and 10 Mile.

Officers say one of the cars was traveling on 10 Mile and the other was on Lasher when they slammed into each other in the intersection.

The force of the collision sent one of the cars ricocheting into a gas station parking lot, where it slammed into a parked Toyota Corolla.

The 74-year-old woman was taken to Providence Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

We have no word on any other injuries.
