The fourth 7-Eleven in metro Detroit was robbed this week, this time early Friday morning in Clawson. The first three armed robberies happened in St. Clair Shores.

According to police, it happened at the 7-Eleven on Rochester Rd. around 1:20 a.m.

They talked with a clerk who told police that he was cleaning coffee pots when the front door opening. The clerk went to help a patron and was confronted by a black man holding a gun. The suspect told him to hand over all of the cash from the register and the clerk complied.

According to police, the suspect is described as a heavy-set black male in his 30s, 5-feet-8 inches tall wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.

The first robbery was reported on May 12 around 1:55 a.m. and the second at 11:49 p.m. on the same day.

Then, early Thursday morning, a third 7-Eleven was robbed. All three are believed to be the same suspect, a heavy-set black man in his 40s or 50s wearing a dark sweatshirt, leather jacket and white tennis shoes.

Right now, it's not clear if the suspect in the Clawson robbery is the same as the suspect in the St. Clair Shores robberies.
