A dead body was found Wednesday morning on the steps of the Pontiac Public Library.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office tells 7 Action News that they found a man who was not breathing when officers arrived to investigate.
They say the man was a 56-year-old resident of Pontiac who was homeless. After EMS crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Earlier today, the county morgue said the body of an African-American man was found at the library.
Detectives from the sheriff's office investigated the scene at the library and they say an autopsy will take place to determine the cause of the man's death.
