Cancer survivors delivered a strong message at Southfield City Hall on Friday. They are standing together against a proposal that would bring a cigar bar to the building next door.
The American Cancer Society delivered letters from survivors to city hall hoping it will stop the proposal.
Cigar Fraternity LLC wants to open a cigar lounge in the Arbor Lofts mixed use building. It would offer membership, have a bar, and be located on the first floor, but on the other side closer to Evergreen.
The ACS of metro Detroit is urging city council members to vote down any proposal that would have the bar right next to the ACS.
