Consumers Energy crews are investigating a gas leak near a construction site in Troy.
According to Debra Dodd from Consumers Energy, they received a call about a gas line being hit near the intersection of Livernois and Wattles in Troy.
Consumers said that an asphalt contractor accidentally hit a 2-inch plastic gas main which caused the leak.
Both Consumers Energy and Troy police are on scene and making repairs. Dodd said it should take up to two hours to complete.
