The 44-year-old father of a Farmington High School student is under arrest for allegedly assaulting two female students after a powder puff practice session.
Farmington Police say Uzziah Malak's 16-year-old daughter got into a scuffle with another student after someone hit his daughter in the head with a football.
When the other players were trying to break it up, Malak, an amateur boxer, allegedly punched one female student and then choked and punched another.
Police reportedly arrived within 90 seconds, and as officers were trying to arrest Malak, he allegedly pushed one officer into a nearby vehicle. Another officer used a taser on Malak and he was then handcuffed and taken into custody.
Malak has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and felony resisting and obstructing, according to police.
He's being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Police say Malak's daughter was detained and then released to her mother pending possible charges in juvenile court.
A spokesperson for the school district says they are investigating the entire incident.
