Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a man they say broke into a Pontiac home and touched children while they were sleeping.
It happened in the 200 block of Anderson St. very early Saturday morning.
According to investigators, a grandmother and five children were all sleeping inside the home when the suspect broke in.
The grandmother, Cassandra, spoke with 7 Action News, but she didn’t want to show her face. She does want people to know what happened.
"I want him caught,” said Cassandra.
She said one of her granddaughters woke her up and told her there was someone inside their home.
"I asked her, how did she know somebody was in the house, she said he was feeling her lips and I said ‘What?!’ And then I got angry, I had a pedophile in my house,” said Cassandra.
Another one of her granddaughters said the man touched her legs.
Cassandra said when she went into the hallway, she saw the man only briefly, before he jumped out of a window.
She’s thankful the girls are OK.
"I know that it was nothing but God that stopped anything from happening,” said Cassandra.
Deputies are hopeful tips will lead them to this suspect.
He’s described as a black man, about 5’9” to 5’10”, no facial hair, with squared off braids near the top of his neckline. He was wearing a blue plaid winter coat with burgundy pants. He also had a tattoo on the back of his neck that could have been a heart.
