Royal Oak police say they have arrested two Detroit residents in connection with a bank robbery in the city on Thursday morning.

According to police, one of the suspect's walked in in the Community Choice Credit Union around 11:50 a.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

After getting the cash, he took off to a vehicle, driven by the second suspect, parked nearby. Also inside the vehicle was the driver's 1-year-old child.

Officers saw the vehicle near 12 Mile and Altadena stopped in the road. When officers pulled up, one of the suspect's had already fled, while the driver stayed inside with the child.

They quickly located the second suspect in a backyard and arrested him. The child was also taken into protective custody.
