Brent Owings, the father of the missing girl, is being held at Oakland County jail.
He was arraigned via video earlier this afternoon and charged on four different criminal counts, including breaking and entering, assault, domestic violence and larceny.
Authorities say early on Sunday morning — Owings broke into the home of his ex girlfriend Alexandra Wilheme, and began choking her, just before taking off with their shared daughter Vadalynn.
Michigan State Police had issued an endangered person advisory on Monday, but early on Tuesday morning, Owings returned Vadalynn to the home of her grandfather, and afterwards, he turned himself into police.
Today, a Clarkston judge seemingly left Owings shocked after issuing a high cash bond, namely due to the suspect's previous convictions of assault.
Owings is facing a sentence of between 4 and 10 years for each count, except for breaking and entering, for which he faces up to 20 years imprisonment.
