A former Detroit Lions’ West Bloomfield home burst into flames after being struck by lightning from Friday’s storms.
Around 6:00 p.m. former Lions wide receiver Luther Blue tells me he was watching golf on TV when he heard a loud explosion.
Blue says his daughter then smelled smoke coming from upstairs, so he opened a bedroom door to find it was engulfed in flames.
The fire department was called in and everyone made it out safely, but those heavy rains continued to poor into the giant hole in the ceiling causing lots of damage inside his home.
