Rock the Block gets underway today in Oakland County.
It's a new program by Habitat for Humanity to help homeowners with minor repairs or landscaping needs.
Residents in Southfield's Bonnie Acres neighborhood have been selected to take part in the pilot program.
Projects will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis for those who live in homes on Marshall, Everett, Brentwood, Selkirk and Fairfax streets.
Rock the Block will be held Oct. 20-21 from 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m.
