Residents in Novi were out Tuesday morning scrambling for drinking and non-drinking water.
The city of Novi opened stations at the Department of Public Service and the civic center offering water and portable bathrooms.
Those in need were advised to bring their own containers for non-drinking water.
DPS in Novi said they’ve been working around the clock to provide assistance.
There are free tankers with clean water stationed at Novi High School and Middle School.
Residents in Novi say they were not prepared for this.
"I was cooking dinner, it was 5:45 a.m. approximately I had water to make pasta on the stove put it on it was fine, then I went back to the sink and there was hardly any water coming out,” said Novi resident Rachelle Cherkasov.
Novi says water-pressure should start to return Tuesday evening.
