Bloomfield Twp. suspect turns himself in

UPDATE:  Police in Bloomfield Township say the suspect wanted in connection with several attempted abductions, turned himself in around 9:30 p.m. Friday night.

We're told he is a 49-year-old man from Pontiac.

According to police, a woman was approached by the suspect inside Qdoba and they are looking to speak with the woman. You can see her photo above. 

They have also released surveillance video of the suspect.

The man was wanted in connection with three attempted abductions in the area on Thursday.

The first incident happened around 1:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the shopping center off Square Lake Road and Woodward Avenue.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was parking near Qdoba, when a man approached her car.  According to police, the man forced her door open and asked her if she wanted to make $100,000.  She refused and he became more aggressive and tried to pull her out of the car.

She fought him off and he appeared to leave.

The woman went into the Qdoba and talked with the management.

Police said the suspect came back, and approached another woman waiting in line inside the Qdoba.  He tried to lure her out of the store, but she refused. Cameras inside the Qdobda were rolling.

Police also received a third report from another female victim.

Police received multiple reports about this man loitering in the area and believe there could also be more potential victims.

The suspect was described as a black man, 6’0”-6’2”, 180-200 lbs, 40-50-years-old, a distinctive mole on the outside of one of his eyes, short black hair,  mustache, black hat, green army style jacket with dark pants

The vehicle he was last seen in is a red panel van, no license plate on the van, no rear windows.
