Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a shooting near a block party in Pontiac.
It happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Michigan Avenue near Anderson.
Deputies say words were exchanged between two groups of people, when someone pulled out a gun and opened fire.
A woman was hit and taken to a local hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Deputies say the suspected shooter is now in custody.
