Hazel Park police say a suspect is in custody related to the deadly hit-and-run of a bicyclist earlier this month.
According to police, a 54-year-old man was riding his bike around 11 p.m. in the area of John R. and Woodward Heights when he was hit.
The vehicle drove away from the scene, and witnesses say the victim was trying to cross John R. when it happened.
Police were looking for a dark colored SUV. They are currently seeking formal charges and expect the suspect to be arraigned on Thursday afternoon.
