A West Bloomfield Township teen was interviewed by Oakland County Sheriff's deputies after he allegedly made threats against his high school.
According to Undersheriff Michael McCabe, the principal at Walled Lake Northern High School told the school's liaison deputy that a junior student had texted saying he was going to "shoot up the school" on Monday.
The liaison deputy then called the student's parents, and had them bring him to the Oakland County Sheriff's Commerce Township substation.
With his parents' permission, deputies interviewed the student, who told them he was just joking around with his friends, and said he knew he should not have texted that and had no intentions of shooting up the school.
After notifying a juvenile court referee, deputies released the teen to his parents, pending review and possible charges.
