The Troy Police Department is hosting the Halloween Safety Bash, featuring an emergency vehicle trunk-or-treat for kids, on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Police Department, 500 W. Big Beaver Road.
The event will feature many giveaways and a vehicle display, including police, fire, EMS and public works vehicles.
The first 1000 kids will receive a free safety light, designed to increased visibility on Halloween night and when walking to school. Kids will also have the opportunity to "trick-or-treat" from vehicles on display. Costumes are optional and the event is free of charge.
The purpose of the event is to introduce Troy kids to the Police Department and other community organizations, while providing a safe Halloween event. All Troy families, including those that do not celebrate Halloween, are encouraged to attend and get to know their community organizations.
