The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a woman was injured when the jet ski she was riding exploded.
According to the office, deputies from the marine unit and crews from the Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to Loon Lake off of Dixie Highway in Waterford Township around 6:15 p.m. Sunday.
911 calls indicated the 47-year-old Waterford Township woman had been injured, but returned to shore with minor injuries.
Deputies say the woman had just refueled the jet ski, but it's not clear if that is what caused the explosion.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment for her injuries. The marine unit is still investigating the explosion.
