The Marysville Police Department has released a photo of the suspect who escaped custody of Clinton Township police during a prisoner exchange on Saturday.

Nicholas Mosher, 21, escaped custody in the area of 26 Mile Rd. and I-94 around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. He was arrested by the Clinton Township Police Department for a probation violation warrant.

Due to a cast on his wrist, he was not placed in handcuffs, and fled on foot during a prisoner transfer.

He was last seen wearing scrubs and he does have a cast on his left arm and wrist.

After he disappeared, police found out he gave a false name, which took time to find out his true identity.

According to the Port Huron Times Herald, Mosher was arraigned on assault charges after allegedly assault two police officers and a nurse at a hospital in Port Huron. He was scheduled to be sentenced in July, but never showed up, leading to a warrant for his arrest.
