WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) — Westland Police are looking for a guy people are calling the cereal-eating bandit. Robert Johnson says he has no remorse and no fear.
Surveillance video from a house across the street on Grandview Avenue shows the guy was very crafty when he broke in at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
He first walked up to the house and when the mail lady came by, he grabbed a snow shovel to make it look like he was at the house.
Then he got a ladder and climbed up to a second story unlocked bathroom window to get in and broke the toilet.
Barbara Hutcherson lives next door and says she always keeps her house locked.
Once inside he spent an hour grabbing anything of value, electronics, jewelry and took the time to enjoy a bowl of cereal. He left riding a bike with two bags.
People in Westland are concerned he may hit other houses.
