Sources are telling 7 Action News a Dearborn officer has been suspended without pay, facing allegations of groping a woman during a traffic stop.
We are not naming the officer since he has not been charged with anything.
We're told Dearborn Police are taking these accusations very seriously. Sources say the agency is taking everything into account, looking into the story of the witness to make sure she's credible.
No one we reached out to would confirm exact details, but Dearborn's chief says, "We can confirm an ongoing investigation. Given the nature of the allegations, no other statements will be made at this time."
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office told us, "A warrant request is currently being reviewed. I will not corroborate the allegations at this time, since no charges have been issued."
There is no timetable for the review.
