Janet Wilson, 31, was still grieving the recent loss of her father and her boyfriend when she was shot and killed by Dearborn Police, according to her family that spoke out about their loss Wednesday afternoon in front of the Dearborn Police Department.

The family and their supporters are urging any witnesses to the shooting on January 27 on Hubbard near the Southfield Freeway, who haven't already spoken to Michigan State Police, to come forward and talk to MSP investigators.

Once investigators complete their findings, they will turn them over to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Officer for a decision on whether charges will be filed against the officer who remains on administrative leave.
