METRO AIRPORT (WXYZ) — Several federal workers are now speaking out about working without pay or being furloughed in their job and an uncertain future.

They say they’re not taking a position on the stalemate, the President, Congress, the budget, the wall. They Just want to work and get paid and they say this could affect us.

Angel Coleman works at the Detroit IRS office and says, “It’s tax season and people are not going to get their tax returns.”

Some speaking out are TSA Agents working at Metro Airport where this round table was held. They say some of their co-workers have quit. Some have called in sick. And they don’t know if they will get back pay.

In some families both the husband and wife work at TSA Agents.

Tim Mach works as an airline safety inspector and says today was payday and, “I got no pay for 80 hours of work.”
