The Vreeland cemetery board in Flat Rock reported vandalism Tuesday.
The founder of Flat Rock and his family are buried there.
Patti Sherman with the board says nearly ten headstones were damaged.
The cemetery was vandalized in spring of 2016. Money was raised to get them fixed.
“It shocks me that people have no respect anymore. To me it’s very disrespectful to come to a cemetery and cause damage,” Sherman says.
Sherman says the cemetery sits behind a busy bicycle trail and people often visit the site.
The board is now looking into cameras.
