The second annual Battle Against Hunger between Dearborn High School and Fordson High School is over and the cans have been counted.
Fordson once again came out on top, collecting 48,536 cans to Dearborn's 29,900 cans. Both schools doubled their can total from 2015, where Fordson collected 23,000 cans and Dearborn 17,000.
The final announcement came during halftime of the Fordson-Dearborn football game on Friday night.
