Investigators say a conservative estimate on the amount of money a drug operation, run by a Harper Woods woman, brought in over the last few years is $7,000,000.
Investigators have only identified the 34-year-old woman, who is now under arrest, by the name she's known as on the street, "Sweetie."
They say she's the ringleader of the drug operation that moves heroin and crack cocaine from Metro Detroit to the Traverse City area.
"We are hoping this dries the source up for awhile," said Missaukee County Sheriff Jim Bosscher.
Early Wednesday morning, investigators with the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) raided multiple locations including Sweetie's Harper Woods house on the 20200 block of Washtenaw, a house on the 9500 block of Hartwell in Detroit, and a house on the 14100 block of West Nine Mile in Oak Park.
