INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — Call her the Blossom Bandit! An Inkster woman says someone keeps stealing not just flowers, but entire plants growing along her house. She is fed up.

“It makes me feel victimized and targeted. Because why me?” said Amanda Carpenter, who owns the house where it happened.

It happened the first time about a year ago. Carpenter says she responded by putting up surveillance cameras. She hoped they would deter future thefts.

They did not. Earlier this month the “Blossom Bandit” came for a rose raid. Then this week on Tuesday she came and committed a hosta heist.

“We were out mowing the yard and saw there was part of a broken shovel sticking out of the dirt and the rest of our plants were missing,” said Carpenter.

Surveillance video caught the woman in the act.

Amanda is calling on the woman to simply return or replace her flowers. If that doesn’t happen, she says it will be a police matter.
