Eight families were displaced after a large fire at an apartment complex in Woodhaven late Tuesday.
Fire crews from multiple departments were needed to put out the fire.
Crews were able to get it under control shortly before 11 p.m. Witnesses say the flames had been shooting 25 to 30 feet in the air.
The complex is near I-75 and West Road.
One woman was taken to the hospital. Officials say she was in the unit where they believe the fire started. Her condition is unknown.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
