Social media continues to connect people in so many new ways for dating, buying, selling, travel and so much more.

Now, social media has helped one Livonia find a lost ring.

Alisha Person was at the park yesterday when she took off her wedding rings to rub on some sunscreen. It wasn't until later that night she realized she left them behind.

Person called into Livonia police and reached Officer Cameron Koss. It turns about, another woman had called about five hours earlier to say she found the wedding set at the park.

The officer told her to bring them in but didn't take her number. His only option was a longshot Facebook search, where he found a post from Laurie Ann.

She did not want to be on TV, but after confirming Alisha was the rightful owner through a picture, this lost and found case is closed.
