Just a few days after wrapping up construction on southbound I-275, the Michigan Department of Transportation has closed northbound I-275 between the I-96/I-696/M-5 and I-96/M-14 interchanges.
According to MDOT, this is to finish the other half of the Revive275 project.
To get around the closure, MDOT says drivers will take I-96 east to northbound M-39, then M-10 the Lodge to I-696 west.
MDOT says drivers are urged to find alternate routes, as the highway will be closed through September.
