A Washtenaw County man is under arrest, suspected of being involved in a home invasion in Northville Township early Wednesday morning.
Northville Township police said alerted neighbors were key in helping to track down the suspect after they noticed him lurking in their backyards.
It was just before 6:00 am when the homeowner, a husband and father, heard a strange noise on the first floor of their home.
When the homeowner went to investigate the noise, police say he encountered the intruder who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, and there was some sort of struggle during which the homeowner sustained some minor injuries.
The intruder fled and was later arrested.
Police say they did not locate a motorcycle.
The investigation is continuing. No word yet on what charges the suspect might face.
