When Cathy Grech goes in and out of her Northville Township subdivision along 6 Mile near Haggerty she feels frustrated.
She's happy a construction project added a lane on 6 Mile. But she says the problem is the incline in and out of the Maple Hills sub is way too steep.
Gregory Lim lives there too and says he's had to have repairs made to the undercarriage of his car because his car has scraped the road.
Now he and others have to be extra careful.
Homeowners we talked to are also concerned about what's going to happen in the winter when it's icy. They're worried they won't be able to stop and will just slide out on to 6 Mile.
Cathy says she tries to avoid this altogether by going in and out of another subdivision's entrance, but feels like she shouldn't have to do that.
We did reach out to the Wayne Co. Road Commission. They say:
The work and grade complied with MDOT standards and we're taking steps to notify motorists through signage and address the issue.
The work on 6 Mile road is ongoing and will include a finished entrance of the Maple Hill subdivision that should address any concerns.
