Grosse Pointe Woods police are searching for the man who robbed the Comerica Bank branch on Mack Avenue.
The robbery happened just before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say the man passed a handwritten note to a teller demanding money and implying that he had a gun.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he then ran away. He was last seen driving northbound on Mack in a dark colored older model Pontiac Grand Prix.
The suspect is described as an African American man with a medium to large build. He has a salt and pepper beard and was wearing glasses and a brown hooded sweatshirt.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Grosse Pointe Wood police.
