Police have a 58-year-old suspect in custody after she allegedly attempted to rob a bank.
The incident happened around 2:00 pm on July 25 in Harper Woods.
Officers were able to respond to the call quickly.
In those moments, the woman who was standing next to her during the incident says that the suspect attempted to hold her hostage - swinging a butcher knife at her when the bank teller was hesitant to give the suspect the money.
Police are disputing this claim, saying that it happened differently.
When officers made it into the bank, a dye pack went off causing skin irritation to everyone inside.
Officers took the 58-year-old woman in to custody. She is facing several felony charges and could be arraigned as early as July 26.
