NOVI, Mich. (WXYZ) — Another week, another edition of Restaurant Report Card with Andrea Isom.
This week WXYZ visited three establishments in Novi, one had an A+ and the rest had a lengthy list of violations.
From Hibachi to Korean BBQ and Java, the good, the bad and the dirty.
Wasabi Japanese Sushi Hibichi Steakhouse on Grand River Avenue had 15 priority health violations from raw meat stored above ready-to-eat mushrooms and dirty knives and spiral veggie slicer stored as clean.
“Designated person in charge is not fulfilling duties in ensuring food safety and foodborne illness prevention,” the report said.
Dae Jang Keum on Grand River also had a lengthy list of violations on the last health inspection from soybeans stored next to raw meat and raw sirloin in a bucket at 53 degrees for an hour.
Dae Jang Keum's manager told WXYZ the problems have been resolved, and the inspection supports her statements.
Starbucks on Cabot Drive got a perfect score on the last health inspection.
