Riverfront Relaxin' is a free four-night entertainment series taking place on the Detroit Riverfront

You can celebrate summer in a new way with a free four-night entertainment series along the Detroit Riverfront.

The series is presented by the Detroit River-Front Conservancy in conjunction with Park Solutions.

Riverfront Relaxin' will feature live music, games, food trucks, vendors, and classic movies under the stars.

These events will take place on July 14, July 28, August 11, and August 25 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 

Details for each week are as follows:

July 14 - Music: Larry Lee & the Back in the Day band; Movie: Purple Rain

July 28 - Music: Rockstar (80's Tribute Band); Movie: The Breakfast Club

August 11 - Music: Jody Raffoul Band; Movie: Ferris Bueller's Day off

August 25 - Music: The BackBeats (Beatles Tribute Band); Movie: A hard Day's Night

Live music will start at 6:30 p.m. and the movies under the stars will start at 8:30 p.m.

Riverfront Relaxin' will take place on West Riverfront Park at 1801 Jefferson in Detrot; west of Cobo Hall and Joe Louis Arena.
