Rochester Hills man allegedly attacked over support for law enforcement at his home

(WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said a man is in custody for allegedly following a man inside his home and punching him in Rochester Hills.

According to the sheriff's office, the victim said am an walked up to his driveway on Gerald Ave. and was harassing him about having blue lights on the outside of his house in support of police.

The victim said the suspect allegedly told him, "the cops know where the white b****es are at."

Deputies say the suspect followed the victim inside his home and punched him in the back of his head. After being punched, the victim said he turned around and saw the suspect break a window on a door and then take off.

A deputy searching the area saw a man matching the description of the suspect, and while trying to arrest him, the suspect fled on foot. The deputy tasered the suspect took him into custody.

Deputies say the suspect is a 24-year-old man and is charged with first degree home invasion and resisting arrest. He was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
