Rock Steady Boxing to help Parkinson's patients

The Recovery Project is throwing punches to fight the effects of Parkinson's Disease.

The Livonia-based physical therapy clinic recently introduced a new wellness program called "Rock Steady Boxing" which is boxing drills adapted to help patients improve agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, hand-eye coordination, footwork and overall strength.

It's the first program of its kind for the state of Michigan.

The Recovery Project announced it is giving away 3 free passes as well as hand wraps and boxing gloves.  Only Parkinson's disease patients can qualify.  If you'd like to enter your name into the giveaway drawing, click here.
