(WXYZ) — A man is facing assault charges after he was accused of assaulting someone on the head with a beer bottle.
On Oct. 13, police officers were dispatched to the Wolf's Den Bar in Carleton on report of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers found a 44-year-old victim standing outside the bar holding a towel over their head. Their shirt was covered in blood.
According to the bartender, the victim and victim's friend were sitting at one of the bar, not bothering anyone. The victim got up and was going into the bathroom when the suspect, Denny Warren Robinson, 43, allegedly struck them in the head with the beer bottle.
The victim received approximately 12 staples to close the laceration.
Robinson was arrested on Feb. 4. He was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
