Neighbors stop vet from getting kicked out

Posted at 10:46 PM, Feb 22, 2016

A Detroit resident and Air Force veteran was on the verge of being homeless after losing his house to foreclosure.

Al Priednieks fell on hard times, and knew he was losing his childhood home due to back taxes. What he didn’t expect was coming home to find a dumpster outside and his personal belongs inside.

“I didn’t know someone was going to go in with a wrecking crew and start destroying my entire life.” Priednieks told 7 Action News.

Monday morning, neighbors confronted the new owner, claiming the eviction was illegal and Al had the right to stay.
