Tracking down crumbling Detroit building's owner

A crumbling commercial building near Phoenix Academy in Southwest Detroit has been a concern for parents and kids. Their concerns reached a new level this week when a wall came crashing down and the debris fell into the sidewalk where families walk.

According to online documents, the property at 1411 Central is owned by Parker Place Holdings, LLC and the registered agent is Jeffrey Seskin.

Sources tell 7 Action News, Seskin was busted by city officials for scrapping out the building illegally. Records also show he pulled permits twice to tear down the dangerous structure, but the work was never completed and the permits expired.

7 Action News did some digging and discovered the crumbling structure is not the only problematic property connected to Seskin.

The West Bloomfield businessman is also the listed registered agent for Hamilton Avenue Property Holdings, which owned a warehouse on Hamilton Street in Highland Park. The structure burned to the ground in February.
