(WXYZ) — The Salvation Army will temporarily close all donation centers from Friday, July 3 through Monday, July 20.
All thrift stores will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday with extended hours from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays for seniors, vulnerable adults, pregnant individuals and immunocompromised shoppers.
“We are beyond grateful by the incredible outpouring of donations and support from our southeast Michigan community,” said Envoy Jacqulynn Idzior, The Salvation Army ARC business administrator. “In-kind donations help fund The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan Adult Rehabilitation Center’s independently funded, 180-day residential rehabilitation program for men and women, which has continued to be operational during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Stores and staff will clean, sort and process donated goods during the temporary closure.
Donations will be accepted Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting Tuesday, July 21.
