TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Taylor nursing home reported two cases of scabies to the Wayne County health department last week.
According to the News-Herald, The Lodge at Taylor on North Line Road did not close down as a result of the outbreak. The News-Herald reported that the resident's family members were called on April 24 and told to check themselves if they visited the Lodge during the Easter weekend.
Family members were not given any additional information about the number of residents affected by the outbreak.
Scabies is a skin infestation spread via skin contact. It can be treated with topical creams.
