DETROIT (WXYZ) — A suspect is wanted for a string of break-ins to nearly ten homes on Detroit's east side.

Crime Stoppers released a surveillance photo of the suspect wearing a dark "Oregon" hoodie, which apparently the suspect was wearing during multiple break-ins. They also released a map of locations.

Georgia Stringer has owned a home on St. Clair since 1980. She reminisces about raising her children in the home.

"This neighborhood was beautiful," Stringer said. "I raised my children down here. I had two boys here and raised a grandson."

She started renting the home in 2009 after the welfare of the neighborhood declined.

"The love left," Stringer said.

The view from across from her front porch is abandoned homes, overgrown lawns and debris liters the block. Stringer still can't believe what the neighborhood has turned into.

"Everybody had a beautiful relationship in this neighborhood," Stringer explained.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information. Remember you can remain anonymous. Meantime, neighbors hope this suspect is caught before he or she strikes again.
