Severe storms overnight have caused flooding in many areas across metro Detroit, leaving many roads close in the area.

Storms knocked out power to thousands of DTE Energy customers overnight. As of noon Wenseday, more than 20,000 in Ann Arbor and Western Wayne Co. remain without power. DTE Energy expects to have power restored to 90 percent of customers by the end of the day.
