The Oakland County Sheriff's Department is investigating recent reports of suspicious vehicles near Springfield Plains Elementary, according to Clarkston Community Schools.

Officials say Monday after school, several students reported being motioned to come over by a driver in a black Chevy Trailblazer.

The driver was described as a white man in his 30's to 40's, wearing a blue shirt and black baseball hat.

Near Springfield Plains Elementary, there was a unidentified white van behind the black Chevy. The Chevy was also seen driving around the Bridge Lake Buffs neighborhood.

Tuesday morning, the white van was seen parked near the school again and police were called.

The van left before the driver could be identified.

Clarkston Community Schools urges parents to remind students to be aware of their surroundings and not to approach unfamiliar vehicles.

Deputies are investigating.
