SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Shelby Township Police are looking for a suspicious driver who reportedly followed an 11-year-old girl.
On May 27, police investigated a suspicious incident in the area of 21 Mile Road and Schoenherr Road.
Police say the suspect reportedly followed an 11-year-old girl who was riding her bike before he stopped in front of her, exited his vehicle and shook her handlebars until she fell. Then, the suspect dropped the bike, returned to his van and drove away.
Police say the vehicle appears to be a 2003 custom Dodge Ram Van.
The van appears to have three chrome wheels, police say, with the fourth front passenger side being a dark "Rally" type wheel. The driver was described as a man approximately 55 years old with a thin build and grey facial stubble.
