Detroit police say skeletal remains have been found inside a vacant building on the city's east side. Police say they are human remains and they believe the remains have been in the building for weeks.
Police say the discovery was made around 10:30 a.m. The building is located in the 4700 block of East Davison.
According to police, they aren't sure whether or not the death is suspicious, but say the building is completely empty and no one would have a reason to be inside for quite some time.
They were on scene for hours processing the scene, but wouldn't discuss their investigation further.
Next, the medical examiner will be following up to determine a cause of death.
