We are getting a little taste of Spring this weekend. But what about the people and places that want to hold on to "Old Man Winter?"
The Alpine Valley Ski Resort will stay open during the mild weather this long weekend.
Manager Shannon Lee said, "We embrace it. We accept it. It is part of Mother Nature."
Many folks are ready for some sun. But for winter lovers, this weekend's weather could put a damper on your plans. Not at Alpine Valley Ski Resort in White Lake.
They have enough snow to survive the mild temps.
"Learn how to ski and snowboard, especially if you don't like the cold so much."
They have two to three feet of snow.
Lee says the temperature will soften the snow, which can lead to soft landings.
"Falling part makes it a little easier on people."
This will be the perfect opportunity for both Winter and Spring to meet.
"It is no big deal. We know we will get through it because we always come through this weather in the winter time."
The resort plans to stay open until mid-March.
